Have ya'll ever heard of a Post Office that closes at 4:15? I haven't - til now that is.
I finally got the ornaments ready to mail so I went to mail them Priority so would be there by Sat. Headed off to the PO figuring they woud be open til either 5 or 5:30 - WRONG! By my watch, it was about 12 minute after 4 when I walked up to the door and they were locking up and wouldn't let me in. So - it'll be Monday before they get to where they are going when I mail tomorrow. Had I known of that strange closing time I could have been there earlier but had no clue.

They deliver our mail tosbmly53 said:The PO's in our are all have wacky, inconvenient hours.
I understand the need to cut hours, but because we're rural and the snowplows take out the mailbox, we have our mail delivered to a PO box. It can be challenging to get there during business hours.

They deliver our mail to those big boxes with a lot of small individual locked boxes in them that is about 1/2 a mile from the house. I could have sort of understood IF it closed at 4 but 4:15 is weird to me. It says they are open on Sat morning for an hour and 15 miinutes. Snowplows can definately 'do a job' on mail boxes. When we've lived 'out' where plows were needed we usually had our mail box hanging on chain from an 'arm' that was far enough off the road that the plows didn't hit it.
