GOT THEM OLD CAN'T GET ON THE NETWWORK BLUES
Hey Tim, for me, it's always a dice shoot, in that, I never know whether I will be able to get on or not; earliler today was a "not." It's very frustrating at times. So, sometiimes I sing the blues when I try to get on, and other times, like tonight, it's all sunshine and lollipops, I guess the website just has it's moods.................*

thanks so much for all you do to help the site and keep us informed.

you are truly amazing in many ways

    john

    TY John....
I get frustrated with the reliability of the site as well...

I just happen to know Greta a little from my time here, and can communicate with her our problems and situation at times.

She is pretty awesome, but busy too... She is the main person behind the scenes concerning CSN.

Hopefully she'll be around a few more years, work and health permitting...she has some issues of her own she deals with.

Anyways..., she relays on anything she can't handle herself, and does a pretty good job of that.

    Best,
    John

    Big Thanks for all...
Skiffin16...you know you are a God send in many ways. Thanks for your involvement with every aspect of this forum and it's peeps.

    TY Cris...
Hoping you and tha man are doing well...

Getting cut lose after treatment is hard for awhile... You have to keep your mind set n recovery and knowing that you are going to be OK.

The hard part for me was being the center of attention everyday for several months..., always having someone to see or procedure.

Then cut lose, and you don't see anyone medically for a few months...

    Pretty scary...

    Best,
    John

    Who is Greta?
    Hey John,

Having joined only this past week, I already have a bucket full of complaints about the poor performance and unreliability of the site. I filled a couple contact webforms here but no response as yet. Even offered some free technical consulting.

The site is built using Drupal CMS, this is the technology that I make my living from. Coincidentally, I do have some sites running at LiquidWeb as well and my experience with their infrastructure and support staff is very good which leads me to believe the issue is on the CSN side.

LW is not going to provide the CSN application support required to keep the site healthy and operating to desired parameters. LW is a host that offers both managed and dedicated servers. Their responsibilities is to keep electricity feeding the servers and keeping the network talking to the servers.

There are a LOT of performance tuning aspects to keeping a drupal site healthy, especially one with as much content as this one.

If you have any IT contact inside CSN please pass along. Either the development side, the network and system admin group, support help desk, or business org is a good place to start.

    Thanks
    Don

    Greta...
Greta is the site admin, pretty much everything that is CSN.

I believe that I did meet the main IT guy when I was in Atlanta on a visit, along with Greta.

They are in the finishing stages for a pretty major site overhaul as far as I know...

You can try shooting her an email here on CSN..

    Greta

She's an awesome person, an I can't express how much she has contributed to taking care of this site over the years.
