how much I dislike the high dose steroids? 5 more weeks. The irritability is making us all miserable. Anything over 60mgs ought to come with a dose of happy pills on the side. He drops down to about 200mgs a day starting tomorrow. Sure hope it helps....don't think any of us can take this much longer.

    Hope your watching his blood glucose level. I went from non diabetic to shooting insulin 4 times a day thanks to high dosing of steroids for my heart and cervical stenosis.

    Wow Growler - that's pretty scary. Docs do blood work every week or so and as much as I am trying to keep him off the sugar it isn't easy. Banned ice cream a few weeks ago but he's found his way to the grocery and bought his own. Will definitely reiterate the risks to him and hope I can find a way to get it through his head!
