OT - Wish me luck

I am gong to have a cataract removed from my left eye on Monday morning. I know that compared to the cancer battle it will be a piece of cake.
Everyone I have talked to says there is nothing to it but I am still a little nervous. The dr. says that I may not need to wear glasses afterwards. That would be nice but I have been wearing glasses since I was 16 so it would certainly be different.
Hugs,
Georgia

Hope everything goes well with your surgery. Let me know how it goes, because I am having cataract surgeries in January (I postponed it until after the holidays).

Sending luck and best
Sending luck and best wishes. May your surgeon have a steady hand, and hopefully you won't need glasses when all is said and done.

I have cataracts in both eyes, and my DR says it could be five years or more b/4 surgery. I'll be watching to see what you have to say about the process and wishing you huge success and no glasses! Hugs, Linda0 -
HI Georgia,
I had mine last year. I was nervous. It was over in 15 minutes for the left eye, then 2 days later they did the right. I had to put in 3 different drops 2x a day for the first week then 2 of them for a week and the third one once a day the last week. It was great. Now I just need reading glasses to thread a needle or to read a book or magazine.
You just feel a little pressure near the end, going to the dentist for a cleaning is 100x worse for me then that was.
Wish all of you the best with this.
