Good news?????

Today I found out that my CA-125 that was done on November 5th PRIOR to chemo but after my hyterectomy and dubulking surgery that it is 11. My CA-125 at its highest was 84. I guess this is good right. I am getting another one next week after 3 treatments and hope it is down even more. I guess that is good right? If it is only 11 before chemo I am thinking that I have a good chance.

That is terrific news!
For your CA 125 to be 84 before surgery and 11 after surgery but before chemo is very good news indeed. I too am hoping that your next test shows that your number is continuing to come down, with the help of the chemo. I'm really happy for you!

Your numbers are better than mine were, especially your highest. After surgery and before chemo, my CA-125 was 15. Through chemo it gradually decreased to a low of 5-point-something. Since then it seems to have 'settled' in the range between 6 and 9. I have a 4-month check up coming up in a few weeks and am hopeful it's still below 10. Good numbers can be a boost!

Sometimes I wonder, if any doctor had thought to check my CA-125 a year or two before I was actually diagnosed, would I have been in a 'better' stage.

Mine was 19 when I started chemo and went down to 12 by the 4th treatment and that is where it stays. I was going for a single digit but she says 12 is my normal and it will hover around that..
