I totally concur
Alice, I wish you and your family a beautiful Thanksgiving. When I take stock of what has happened to me and my family in the last 18 months, I am so grateful for the friends I have made through this cancer journey. In some ways, you all are my lifeline. Of course I have lifelong friends who are very important to me, but all of you here on these boards are connected to me in a way they never will be. You are understanding, compassionate and rational in a way I can depend on. Thank you everyone here for including me, caring about me, and loving me. The feeling is entirely mutual. I wish everyone a terrific holiday season and a year full of good news, good health, and good friends.

What you two beautiful young blondes have said also goes for this slightly older blond across the Pond.
A happy Thanksgiving to you all over there(whatever it is - am I right in thinking it's a celebration imported from Turkey or have I been misinformed?)0 -

Happy Thanksgiving right back at ya! You, too, Tex. Does Scotland have an annual food-centered holiday like Thanksgiving? With perhaps stuffed salmon? Hey, your first CT since starting Votrient is on Friday, is it not? I'm thinking about you a lot and praying for good results, as I'm sure everyone else here is too. Keep us posted. I am grateful to have met you all.0 -

To all,
A Happy Thanksgiving filled with good heath, family and friends as well as some pretty good food all weekend. All of the family from Baltimore (wherever that is) will be joining us as usual in Michigan this Thanksgiving.

You have a great time iceman and everyone in the US (Alice can remind you where B'more is!)
Peg, as I've noted on another thread, you and I have more than chromophobe histology in common - I'm a former redhead (demonstrated by the first picture on my Expressions page) and I didn't give that state up by choice!
No, I can't think of a Scottish equivalent of Thanksgiving. The only food-centred event would, I'm thinking, be Christmas Dinner and of course that isn't celebrated by sizeable numbers of Brits. Maybe we don't have so much to be thankful about as you folks do?
Anyway, have a great time everyone.0 -

To my friends here, past, present, and future,
I have said it before, I absolutely hate the reason that I met all of you, but I am eternally grateful that I have and I am so much richer for the experience, I think each of us here "gets" much more than we "give". I thank you all from the bottom of my soul.
My best Thanksgiving joke;
An elderly man in Phoenix calls his son in New York and says, "I hate to ruin your day, but I have to tell you that your mother and I are divorcing; forty-five years of misery is enough."
"Pop, what are you talking about?" the son screams.
"We can't stand the sight of each other any longer," the old man says. "We're sick of each other, and I'm sick of talking about this, so you call your sister in Chicago and tell her," and he hangs up.
Frantic, the son calls his sister, who explodes on the phone. "Like hell they're getting divorced," she shouts, "I'll take care of this." She calls Phoenix immediately, and screams at the old man, "You are NOT getting divorced. Don't do a single thing until I get there. I'm calling my brother back, and we'll both be there tomorrow. Until then, don't do a thing, DO YOU HEAR ME?" and hangs up.
The old man hangs up his phone and turns to his wife. "Okay," he says, "they're coming for Thanksgiving, but you'll have to figure out how to get them to come for Christmas!"
Happy and healthy holidays for all, and may God bless,

To all my closest friends that I have never personally met. Happy Thanksgiving. I love you. I for one am thankful that I am here to share this time with you. Who would'a thunk it? Take time tomorrow to appreciate your loved ones......... I propose a toast tomorrow at 6 pm. Let's all raise a glass in thanks that we have offered, provided and recieved each others intellectual and emotional support. We have grown strong and informed. Our group knowledge is powerful and substantial. We share our most intimate feelings. Enthusiasm and discouragement needn't be internalized. We are here for one reason and one reason only. We are here for each other. I will lead the toast at 6pm. Speech will be short. My beer glass will be full and refills are available. FLY. Fox Loves You.0 -

I will drink to that and, in the same spirit, I offer you this, which I've just received from a golfing chum, and already forwarded to a loved one.

I'm pretty much a new bee here compared to most of you but let me wish you all the best for Thanksgiving. I might be helping a bit here with imaging reports, but you can't imagine how much you all have done for me. Here's to NED for everyone.
