pancreatic cancer

I have just been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. It was caught fairly early when I had a ct scan to find a kindney stone. That led to an mri which found a cyst on my pancreas which the radiologist said was not cancer and to wait 4 months and have another mri. I asked for a second opinion and had the scope done. It was cancer. I had my part of my pancreas along with the cancerous cyst removed and also my spleen 3 weeks ago. I will be starting chemo/radiation soon. I was given a 50/50 chance of survival. I am shocked by my diagnosis as I am healthy and the doctor says I am still healthy. I have no symptoms. Are there any survivors out there that can give me words of encouragement. I am also 58 years old and determined to fight this terrible disease. Thanks.
