It will get better too
It takes time, it takes effort and part of that effort is really hard, knowing when to push him and knowing when to back off and just be there for him. I started treatments in April, completing rads and chemo in early July. I was a wreck with the coughing, the thick stringy mucus, the skin issues, no appetite, no desire to drink anything (thank god I had the peg tube) and it wasn't until September that I could stop the pain meds and it has only been in the last few weeks that I've felt more like my old self. The journey has been long, hard, frustrating and at times Lori and I were not the most civil to each other, but we've come out the other side of this crucible, and we're better and happier for it.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and David, may you find strength every day to carry on0
