Starting Interviewing
Seems like my resume took off with a life of its own. I have a few good interviews this week. Yes - I have bad neuropathy in hands and feet, but I can and will need to mask that. I am happy that chemo ended 8/24/12, I finished 8 weeks of Wellness, I will start the "grown ups gym" this week, my Sept CT was clean, CEA in Sept was great, I see Onc in Dec. I focus on the good. Great idea for a post.0 -
So Glad to HearSharonVegas said:I was saved by the bell! 4
I was saved by the bell! 4 weeks ago I had my first Zaltrap treatment. Have had 2 since. My abdomen looked like pregnant lady when I started (acites & peritoneal mets). After 1 treatment, it shrank back to its normal size. We were panicking because other chemos didn't seem to work. Now our hope is renewed! For the first time, I'm looking forward to scans.

There is no guarantee Im going to get the job, but Im still excited for the possibility. You can bet I am going to give it my best shot. Have my list of questions written down so hopefully I dont forget anything.
I hope everyone has a great day. ~Cindy0 -

My good news - I can curl again!
As some of you know, I've been struggling through post-op complications following my lumpectomy (benign) a month ago. Complications included lots of nasty invasive procedures, and a second surgery which left me in severe pain.
As a result, I've missed out on the first month of my curling season (about 6 games.) I just came back from the club where I tried to throw a few stones for the first time in weeks, and was comfortable! I'm back on the ice with my next league game, and will be flying off to Cleveland for a tournament next week!

My wife just got a hold of Dr Lentz. We will visit our old home and friends, and I will receive world class treatment!

Lots of stuff
Nice not to have only cancer stuff to talk about.
I have been interviewing, apparently I am a hot ticket and people love my resume. I am going to be very picky with the job I select.
I have been going to the gym 3 times per week and loving it.
I look pretty good (considering I was disconnected 8/24/12 and port out 10/19/12).
Yes cancer sucks, but when you get through some of the sucky stuff, life is beautiful.
I try to help anyone going through chemo - as I was helped.
I will be 1 yr NED on 1/31/13.
So far all scans and test show all clear.
I look forward to the holidays this year, since I thought I may not be around.
My children (young adults now) are really great people. I am so proud.
I am stronger than I ever thought.
I feel a new me emerging and I like her alot. She is also 60 pounds lighter (thanks chemo diet).
I wish the best for everyone. When I read people going through tough times I feel their pain. Do not lose faith.0 -

how'd the job interview go this week?
sometimes the process of going through the interview might not land THAT job, but it will continue to burn that candle of desire to find the best job for you.
I hope life is going better and better for you and all on this CSN site.0 -

DX 3C early 2010, resection and finished chemo, OXY-5FU, Nov 2010.
Had my second annual scan on the 13th and it came back NED.
Onc has cut back my blood tests to every six months.
So far so good.
I wish they had a like button. Congratulations!! And once you're done with NED, please send him my way.0
