I am not from Maine but my
I am not from Maine but my husband is so we are there every summer. We did not go last year because I finished chemo the end of June and just wanted to relax. Where in Maine are you from? My husband is from Readfield which is a little town outside of Augsta. We camp on the ocean in the New Harbor region. Pemequid Point lighthouse area. Is either of them anywhere near you?0 -

I live about an hour from Readfield and about 2 1/2 hours from the Pemequid Point lighthouse area. I will finish my treatments mid March. Hopefully all will go well and I will be in remission. If that is the case, it would be great to meet up with you.0 -

Vanessa: Hi. I am going to Scarbrough now for treatments. I have Doctor Lachance. Who did you have? Are you in remission now? I am going for my thrid treatment today. Yea, one round will be finished and 5 more to go. I met another woman on the Ovarian Cancer collition website who lives in Rockport area and "Glad to be Done" on this site goes camping every year on the Maine Coast.0 -

Dr. LaChance is also my doctor. So you have met all the nice nurses in the chemo ward. I think Joshua was my favorite. I have an appointment with the doctor next Wednesday. When Dr. LaChance called me to tell me about my treatments (which at first he said I would not need) he said "I am not here to make you happy but to make you cancer free." Nice man.. Good luck with the rest of the treatments..0 -

Vannessa: I read your post about your Ovarian Cancer Stage 1A. That is the best position you can be in if you have OC. More than likely yours will not come back. Consider yourself lucky. I would do anything to have 1A. I was diagnosed with Stage 3c.
Dr. Lachance is a nice guy. What time is your appointment on Wednesday. I have one to. Mine is at 8:30am and then chemo at 9:30am. I have met Joshua. He is very nice. I usually have Amanda as my nurse.0 -

My appointment on Wednesday is at 10:15. By the time I get there you will be into your chemo. It takes us two hours to get there so still an early start. How long is your drive. Good chemo on WEdnesday...0
