Hi, My husband, 41 was diagnosed with sclc. he started chemo on oct 22nd and got 1 day cisplatin/etopiside and then 2 more days of etopiside and a neulesta shot on day 4. He is getting this regimen every 4 weeks and will start radiation with next cycle on nov 19h. Does this sound normal. I read so much about people getting chemo evry 3 weeks. Confused. Thanks for any responses. Stephanie

    This is normal
    Hi and welcome!
First, thank you for reaching out. I have seen this battle from both sides now and in many ways it is harder to endure as a caretaker. With small cell lung cancer (as with all) treatment is individual. Your husband's treatment is one of the stand regimens established as best practices by the National Institutes for Healh. The chemo continues to work for weeks after the treatment. Best wishes to you both.
