hi iam just needing someone to talk to my mum got told she has lung cancer a cpouple of weeks ago she was told she couldt get chemo as she was to frail so she starts radieotherepy next week she was at the hospital today my sister was with her and she said the cancer is spreading like wild fire towards the brain how bad is this

    I'm sorry for your mums diagnosis and how hard this is for her and you and your sister. I think radiation is sometimes is used to shrink tumors and relieve pain. Write down your questions because when you are in the middle of the shock of it all it is hard to remember what to ask the doctor. There is treatment called palliative care that helps people have comfort and pain relief. Its not a cure, it is to help people be without pain. Maybe you and your sister can ask the doctor about it.
