I am not exactly sure how I
I am not exactly sure how I feel. Did they not test him during his career? Sure they have so much evidence and testimonies, but something doesn't quite sit right.
I do wonder, how it will effect his LiveStrong Foundation. I know I have gone there for information. I hope it doesn't.0 -
Sounds like
He denied everything for years and now seems his guilt has been voiced from many and now he can't deny it as he has in the past, too much evidence. Apparently his drug taking had been blatant. Though his charity work was phenomenal it is now tainted. Sad as always why dont they just admit and apologise beats me, it would gain more respect. Every one has their ghosts but he lied for years..... Also on looking at another post..... There was ways of getting round testing well known to the takers and that what was done. Taking small amounts of drugs over long time didn't show up back then.0 -
I have such mixed feelings.
I have such mixed feelings. He has been such a role model for survivors and this is so disappointing. I am mainly saddened because I have really enjoyed the Livestrong site and received much valuable information from it. I hope the charity survives.0 -

I just wish he would have fought this in court, like he originally said he would. I hate to say this, but, when he backed down, it just made him look guilty to me.
I realize his foundation has done a lot, and, for that I am thankful.
It's just sad to know he used illegal drugs to enhance his performance.0 -

In my mind they are two separate issues. The cyclying and the survivorship. so wish he would stay on at Livestrong. he didnt fake his overcoming cancer and reaching out to people. I dont live in that world of cycling.so leave that to the experts0 -

He was a champion for cancer survivors for years. That means more to me than a bike race. Raised lots of money for the cause.

The whole thing is just sad. I just hope his foundation will continue on, even though he is stepping down.0 -

I also have very mixed feelings, but agree that he has done a lot to help cancer fighters. It's such a shame but I'm glad he was able to get the word out about cancer. I have also gained a lot of help from his foundation.0 -

Hoping that this won't effect the foundation, but, you never know. It appears that many of his contributors are pulling out, including Nike, like you mentioned.
I don't know if he is guilty or not, but, it leans more toward guilty to me. But, it is done now, and, over.0 -
hmmm
I hear there is proof yet I have seen none of it. I understand why he would step down as his presence is hurting the foundation he has worked so hard to create. Lance has done much good in this world, if he was doping it is amazing they did not find out while he was riding and even more amazing the witch hunt that is going on to bring him down. If it proven he did wrong I will personally still hold him in high regard for all the good he has done, none of us are above reproach...well I cannot speak for everyone so I shall rephrase that and say I am not above reproach.
