PET & Waiting...
I grilled the poor tech about the results and she had a good poker face. You know they can see things already.. but I know they're not allowed to say. The waiting is killing me.. I seriously need a hobby.
One last gripe-- as I leave, the technician says that the results should be ready, at latest, by Wednesday. And here I am with my appointment for results on Friday. I'm starting to learn how things work in the wait-with-your-finger-up-your-butt club.
I should start a betting pool.

Waiting....
Hi Nathan,
Well, since you're a member of the "club" make sure you wash your
hands often and keep that hand sanitizer handy .
Waiting is a pain. I'm very fortunate that I always get my results
on the same day so I generally don't have that issue. I do however
have the "scanxiety" a week or so before my upcoming scans.
A hobby might not be a bad idea. I hope you get great news and
keep us updated, Nathan.
Hugs,

Yeah-- I have a bit of it. I'm wondering if the doc may call me if he finds out something sooner?
I'm wondering if I should call.. but I don't want to jinx it. Ahh! I'm like a schoolgirl.
I just keep telling myself to be patient Thanks for giving me a place to wait, all0 -

Ah yes the waiting game, I just pick up the written report myself, not to hard to read the scan, although I'm not a doctor, I play one on TV.... a little Friends humor.... : )
Hi Vinny,
The written report, eh? I have been very tempted to ask for one myself. I want to know all about my tumor and its pathology. Then, I swear I could just Google myself into remission.
Did you just ask the doctor for it? Maybe I should be a bit more nosy.0 -
Hi Nathan
Hi Nathan,
WWYFUYB club totally stinks but what else can we do! Just hang in there and do anything that will keep your mind occupied. I actually started doing more puzzles just because it keeps my mind busy for a while. Please let us know whenever you get your results. Good Luck
Sincerely,

Hi Nathan,
I always have a copy of my scan results sent to me at home. I've had 4 scans so far and copies of all. I compare each scan to the last and have learned alot from reading them on my own. A little help from the internet when I get stumped on certain terms. Just ask the clinic where the scan is done and they will make sure you get what you want...may have to sign a release paper for the scan, but thats no big deal. Good luck on your results.

the place where you receive the scan will give you the written copy, all you need to do is tell them the day of the scan, and ask when you can pick up the written results......0 -

Hi Nathan,
Just checking in. Hope you got results by now.

I have avoided calling too. I have my appointment tomorrow morning to find out. I just get a nagging feeling about this.. like if it were good news they would have called me already to ease my nerves? I'm not really sure what my doctor does in these situations.
It's amazing the many ways your mind can go! I've been working hard to divert my attention, and plan to go out to dinner! Heck-- tomorrow may be good news too!!
Well, whatever the news, I'm just glad to get a peek at what's going on.. maybe I can start planning farther out than one month ahead!
Working on some questions for the doc tomorrow.. it's funny.. I have two lists.. one for good news and one for bad news. It's so hard to think of what to ask..
Sorry if I seem a bit disjointed.. just a lot of thoughts.. thanks for the kind words Jim

I hope you had a good dinner. I had to get out of the house so I
went and saw movie at the local $2.50 cinema. Of course I spent
almost $10 on junk food (required for me at the theater ).
I saw "The Dark Knight Rises" - it was better than I expected but
again, I was in the mood for that kind of movie.
Sometimes you just have to get out of you head, Nathan - especially
dealing with all of this. Good news is hoped and expected for you.
Keep us updated. Some dessert:
I've had this relationship with cake before - margaritas were involved ☺
