in Head and Neck Cancer #1
A few weeks ago I posted 3 down 1 to go, well we saw the ENT today, and Im blessed to get an all clear by the ENT in our Team of Onc, Rad, and Ent. she did the say AHHH review and felt the neck for lymphs and the tube down the nose scope, some swelling but no cancer. I asked about a PET scan since I only had a CT scan and if they were to do one, it would be nice to get it in this year so the insurance would cover all of it vs. waiting until next year with a new deductible co-pay etc. she said yes and will be scheduling it for late December, right then and there scanxiety kicked in but scans are part of our new abi-normal so might as well get it done and paid for. Sounds like I will be seeing alot of these folks in the future. But for now Im going to enjoy NED and again just want to thank all of you who helped Diane and I thru this journey with your prayers and just sharing what we all need, compassion, wisdom, humor, tears etc.

    Hi ditto1,

    Felt your neck and scoped your throat, but did the ENT pull on your tongue? Well 4 for 4 and if you count all your H&N friends it must be 34 for 34 (or something like that). I think I felt your grin all the way to Oregon.

    and yes Matt you have this procedure down to a T, she pulled the tongue out with a sterile cloth, once they get a hold of it they are like a turtle and don't let go until they get a complete tour..............
