PET Scan Friday

Maybe I can help.
I think I was told NO CARBS....not low carb 24 hours before. An hour before your test you will be injected with a radioactive glucose solution. The glucose will be gobbled up by cancer cells and will "light up" on the PET scan. By not consuming any carbs 24 hours before the test, the cancer cells are more likely to take the bait (so to speak). I hope this helps. Good luck with your scan.

That makes sense! Hopefully they won't find anything and then I won't have to worry anymore about why I have that pain! Marianne -

Southern California $4.91 -- per gallon premium grade -- no worries, a full tank of
gas will keep our bus running for several months..
I may have to cook up a chocolate cake to take with us -- Robert, can you make this
trip?
