Neuropathy Relief
Tonight it is bad. My feet are super tingly and the pain radiates up my legs into my hips. I need to find something. I have tried L Glutemine and b 12 and that didnt touch it.

Try Gabapentin
Eileen,
After the debulking surgery I had on Friday, continuous epidural drip completely paralized my legs. They gave me Gabapentin 300 mg 3 times a day at the hospital; and not only it fixed my legs, it completely got rid of the severe peripheral neuropathy I had in my toes and feet for the last month and a half since my last chemo. It's gone! I asked to prescribe it to me to take home, but they told me to get it through my family doctor, and I will as soon as I go there to remove staples.
Feel better,

Amanda what if any sideAmanda767 said:Neurontin and Cymbalta
Both have really helped my neuropathy. Also I take a prescription vitamin called Metanx that has helped as well.
Amanda what if any side effects do you have from the cymbalta. I was reading about cymbalta today and everything we should watch out for considering recurrences is listed as a side effect. Does it make u tired? One of my good friends is on it for fibromyalga relief and she said it works good for her and she doesnt really have any side effects. It is a plus they also use it for anxiety I guess since I get tht often to when I get aches and pains or anything else that could be a symptom.0 -

I haven't noticed any side effects from Cymbalta. I feel peetty lousy for a few days after the IP chemo, but that's to be expected. The combo of Cymbalta and Neurontin REALLY got my neuropathy under control. My onc doesn't like Lyrica as much, prefers the Neurontin.0 -

My doc put me on gabapentin. I sure hope it works for me... She talked about a couple other ones and decided on this one.0 -
Lyrica & Cymbalta
I have neuropathy in fingers and feet from chemo of almost fourteen years ago. I also have fibromyalgia and the combination of the medications helps greatly. It does not completely remove the tingling, especially at night before I go to bed. I don't see any side affects that alter my life.
I will be cancer free fourteen years in November! I was diagnosed stage IIIc November 17, 1998.0
