Pulling the PEG tube
Congratulations!!! I've had my peg since Nov 2011 and still have it. My swallowing is coming back slowly but not enough yet.
My throat is at 10 mm. Had a dilation yesterday to 12mm but the Doc says it keeps shrinking back to 10. Having 1 more
try next week to keep it enlarged. Here's hoping. Did you have any problems like that? Did you have to have any
throat dilations to open up your esphagus? If so, how long did it take till you got your swallowing back? -

No I didn't have any problems like that. I ate and swallowed thru out the entire treatment, at times not a lot, but I always kept swallowing something every day. I can not eat everything I would like yet but enough to keep me going. My biggest problem is I just don't get hungry and since nothing really tastes good, I have to force myself to eat. I fill up really quick.I will pray that things get better for you.
