1st appointment thanks to trisha55

in Uterine/Endometrial Cancer #1
I had my first appointment with an oncologist last week. Unfortunately he told me I had to go some where else because there is not a gyn/oncologist here and I have to have one. So I still don't have any plan in place. My surgery was July 9th. Thanks to Trisha I have an appointment this Monday the 17th with her gyn/oncologist. It was supposed to be a second opinion but due the first one I changed it to a regular appointment and know she will come up with a plan for me. It will mean driving several hours round trip but that is ok with my husband (the driver). He just wants me to get help with whatever is necessary. Thanks so much Trisha. I had an appointment with MD Anderson but they don't take my supplemental insurance so I will have to cancel that one. Thanks everyone, Helen

    I do hope that everything goes good for you. I love Dr. Lea, she is so nice and takes time to explain things. If you start this way early there is a Denny's on the exit before Inwood. It is off Medical District exit here in Dallas off I-35 the next exit is Inwood which goes to UT SW Cancer center. Good Luck and I will be praying for a good outcome for you. The offer still stands if you need someone to come sit while you get the chemo let me know. trish

    Thanks so much for the offer and help. I'll let you know what she says to do for treatment if anything and maybe we can meet even if over chemo. I really do appreciate the info and the offer. So sweet of you!!
