Winter Marie,
So happy to hear that you have a plan in place. You have been on my mind. I have no doubt you can kick this down again. I'm glad your treatment never stopped working for you.
Sandy
I know, I expected to also get Oxyplatinin again, but he thinks the Xeloda and Avastin will do the trick. I've been lucky to be sure that I never had to stop any due to the treatment not working, so far!!!

Dear Winter Marie, I am glad you have a plan in place and I will be praying for a good outcome.
I hope your next plan is to go a resort area.
Hugs,
Judy
Judy, Judy, Judy...may the resort area plan come up soon!!! Actually trying to plan a trip to Europe for next summer, just too many places I want to go, that I'm trying to narrow it down, I've been there before so I still want to visit the old haunts as well as NEW ones (England's on the list this time, but then there's Austria and Holland0 and well, you know it just goes on and on and on and I can't do them all. I'll plan this as my celebration trip of getting rid of these pesky tumors again!!!

Winter Marie,
Glad you have a plan! For me, plans give me direction, like swimming for the shoreline instead of treading water in the middle of the ocean with sharks circling! Thanks for sharing and I'm sending good vibes and prayers your way.

Definitely staying in the life raft!!! Thanks for the vibes and prayers.

I am glad that you now have a plan in place and pray that the chemo does well for you with little or no side effects.
When I had my tumor surgery they took all the woman parts. I was told that it was precautionary.
Very glad they moved up your consult and they can get you started soonest on beating this once again!
Hugs,
Marie who loves kitties
Yes, I wish they had taken them out the first time, but I understand after a 10 hour surgery why they didn't want to.
So glad the consult was moved up too!!!! I don't think I could of stood the wait!!

Ways forward
I am glad yo ufound a way forward and have a plan that you feel confident in- that is half the battle. As was described by, I think, Ann about Pete's recent PET scan it isn't too bad- you just need to whip out that bit of the liver, get rid of the ovaries that you have no use for take a bit of chemo and hey, presto your back on track.
In all seriousness it is nice to hear you remain postive about the plan. I too didn't find avastin and xeloda a bad combination to live on and it seemed to hold my cancer pretty stable (been off 3 months now and symptoms moving pretty quickly makes me realise it really was doing quite a good job). You have some pretty serious stuff to face but nothing that you and many here haven't had to face before so we know its doable. Keep positive and we can win this battle yet,

Love the idea of Europe next summer. I'm planning to go too. My grandfather came over with his family from Germany and I want to go see where we came from. My husband and I hope I get some clean scans so we can plan this trip and many more. We have been through most of US and about 10-12 cruises including Alaska and Hawaii. Now for the more expensive flights. Hope we both get our summer trip! Good luck with your treatment.

so did that one already, and was married in Hawaii and then went back home (Alaska) and did the cruise and got to see places I never saw before up there, it was fantastic to be a tourist in my homeland and see things I've never seen before.
I'm sure you'll be making that trip overseas, my family on my dad's side also came from Germany, and one of my niece's is a German citizen with family there. Here's to both of us on a summer trip!!!!

That is great that they are thinking about surgery. Survery is the one treatment that i have a lot of confidence in.
I am praying for good results.
I agree, cutting it out as my onc told me once, is the sure way of getting it (the tumor)out.
Thank you for the prayers.
