I Haven't
nor would I go to one. He touts beating his prostate cancer while ripping Steve Jobs a "new one" for not going on his plant-based diet. It's silly to play Monday morning quarterback but it one does do it, at least compare apple to apples. Pancreatic cancer is many times more lethal than prostate cancer.
But if you think he can help you, go for it...

Most of Don Porter's diet is
Most of Don Porter's diet is similar to the Gerson or Vegan diet. The exceptions are: The Gerson Diet has a lot of juicing, limited sugar(s) in the diet, and says Baking Soda is one of the items not to have for the first two years.
I am researching how to do a good Plant based diet. I did chemo and it made me exceptionally sick. My digestion, sense of touch, hearing and sight have been diminished by chemo. Gerson is a little extreme, but there are several other university studies that use a modified Gerson type diet and vitamin regiment. Now, I need to find a Doctor whom is on board for the blood tests. The idea is to get one's body back to Alkaline, and all blood markers in the center of normal to let the body heal itself. Limit sugars which can turn in to fat, which can turn into cancer. We are already doing the Juicing thing, no chemicals in food, reducing our meat intake, and limited sugar. We are easing in to the diet.

Thank you both for replying. Crazy thing is we've been doing a lot of this stuff - limiting sugar, meats, etc - for quite a long time. Even our yard is chemical free. We did get a juicer and have been using that and trying to incorporate more garlic, tumeric, etc into our diets. Oncologist says no supplements, but she'll check his vit d level and give him that if needed.
Phil - I'm curious, since it seems you've done very well for a long time - did you do the whole juicing, organic thing?
Mike - good luck in your quest for the right doctor! I was just looking at a website for a naturopathic dr that says will work with the oncologist - think we are going to set up an appt with her.0
