Doing better...WBC comming up...Cea good number

I had my appointment yesterday ...we had to postpone chemo this week because of a low WBC. WBC is comming back up but I have a terrible cough and cold. The dr prescribed a z pack...antibiotics. I am just resting this weekend. They did run my CEA level...it was .9 ... That's really good...right? It was at .9 at the beginning of JuLy ... Post surgery. They will proceed with chemo on Tuesday...and Neulasta shot day after pump disconnect...on Friday. The dr also recommended Claritin ... Apparently it helps with the bone pain side effect from the Neulasta. I am supposed to take it for 4 days after the shot.

All is good here today...except for the cough and cold...but I am not running a fever so that is good.

    Glad to hear the WBC is on the rise. As to the CEA that is good, and might even show better results after you get rid of infection.

    Interesting that doc is recommending Claritin for bone pain...since it is normally for allergies. You will have to let us know if it helps.

    Rest well this weekend and hope that Tuesday chemo is more gentle to you.
