Hi, thank you for asking
Hi, thank you for asking about him. I just arrived back at the hospital. He's currently scheduled for the stent procedure at 3:00pm. He's in some pain, so I hope this operation helps to clear things up. I also just found out that a nurse will be coming to the house for three days after he goes home to hook up a nutritional IV bag. She's also going to teach us how to access his port so that we can do this after the three days. He's also scheduled to start a trial drug next week, but we have to first see if the stent procedure worked.
Hugs,

I got nutrition for several weeks via a PICC line in my arm, it was fed through my upper arm into my chest somehow, they did it under a portable ultrasound x-ray machine, it was amazing I didn't even leave my hospital bed, they brought the screen etc. to my room. I can't imagine it being done via a port, but they may be giving him something different. I had like 3 different bags each contained some different nutrient supplement, one whitish looking bag was just some kind of fat!!! What I got was TPN, and the pharmacy people were constantly coming up and checking out how it was running too. -

Hi, I too was surprised that the milky white bag of fluid was going directly into the port. I really hope that he'll be on solid food soon so that I don't have to access the port. He was just brought down to surgery, so now I wait. -
