HOW IS CANCER CENTRE OF AMERICA, ARIZONA IN DEALING WITH STAGE $ PATIENT OF CANCER OF ESOPHAGUS?

Hi
My sister, 33 years old found out about stage four cancer of the esophagus when she was planning for her second baby. For almosta month she thought the symptoms were of pregnancy and took it lightly. Its been two months she has been diagnosed of stage four cancer which has spread to lungs, liver and brainn. After two chemos at Stanford and 7 radiations (3 for the brain and 4 for the other parts) her tumour has not decreased. We now want to look at some integrated therapies. So we chose Cancer Treatment Centres of America for the her. We were looking for some feedback on the same. Pl help.

    My experience isn't deep, but...
    My husband was only a Stage 4 for a short time compared to others here, but I wanted to share a thought with you.

    Stage 4 is terminal. Sadly, there are no if's, and's or but's about that. Please don't encourage your sister to go beyond her comfort zone & tolerance level. It's a fine line between treatment and quality. But crossing that line can be devasting both mentally and physically.

    I hope your sister fares well with her treatment wherever she ends up. EC is a horrible diagnosis no matter your stage in life, but 33 is too gosh durn young!

    here discusses survival times for stage 4s like myself & your sister ... you can think of it as terminal but then so is 3, 2, 1 and life itself. Be realistic, but don't abandon hope. I don't know abuout the care centers you mention only to suggest that while attending, one could improve on their published sample menus which offer mayo, meat, milk etc - these foods do not contain good protiens in my opinion.
