I wanted to tattoo "no access" on my right arm in case of any emergencies. I had bilateral mastectomy so I figure the paramedics may get confused. I am just worried about the LE or getting an infection.......
Aside from that I promised my husband the phoenix was the last one!

@mamolady how many nodes did you have removed? I had 3, and at my last follow up with my surgeon who did my mastectomy i asked him about tattoos on that side, as i have a butterfly on my right shoulder that I got when i was 17, and she's in need of a touch up! He gave me the all clear to have it done, and said the lymphedema risk was almost non existent. The big thing is - to make sure to go to a reputable, clean, professional tattoo shop. A proper tattoo shop will be cleaner than a doctor's office.0 -

Heather,
I had 6 nodes removed and am dealing with LE right now. Only mild and I will probably have it under control before Christmas. I had a problem just after rads and now I think it was from the recon. I agree about the tattoo shop being clean. The one that did the phoenix set up like a sterile procedure would be set up. Only they have black latex gloves.
Who did your hair? I love it!
