"Study uses the patient's tumor to form vaccine" at:physorg.com/print209816809.html

(Also,a biopsy from one part of a tumor may show different makeup than another section......)

TAS 102/OncoVax
This looks interesting and would e interested to hear from anyone who is entering the new trial- tehre is a 800 patient international Phase 3 trial starting soon to look at TAS102 in people with refractory colorectal cancers. The Phase 2 trial was very (almost too) positive with increased tumour stability and survival- the results are more inpressive than the phase 2 trials in regorafenib and aflibercept- so good phase 3 results may lead to licensing failry quickly.

Oncovax sounds interesting though seems a little unproven. It is interesting that they are going for FDA approval after only phase 2 trials so will be interesting to see if they get it. AGain the results sound a little too good to be true and there are many drugs that show great results at phase 2 and never make it to market as phase 3 trials (bigger, more robust and controlled trials) don't show similar results.

Overall great to hear of lots of possible good developments but important not to get over excited about things that sound good in the media but are a fair way off being used widely.

I'm not able to read this on
I'm not able to read about this on my phone.
Question - Does this have to be given with another chemo.....like irinotecan, folfox, of folfuri......i hope not. Too many people ran the course on first and second lines. It would be so wonderfulllllllllll to have something new without having to mix it in with the old regimens.
