    It is raining here today -
    It is raining here today - so no baseball for us. I am making some banana bread this afternoon and watching old movies. Oh...and working on another needlework project.

    My weekend
    Yesterday Bill and I went to the farmers' market in the morning and then did a little bit of shopping. I got a new dress! In the afternoon I went to a yard sale and an open house for a friend's business. Last night Bill and I joined friends for dinner and a movie. Today, we went to church!

    I'm resting the rest of the day!! Just piddling around the house.

    We have a summer Opera company - the Glimmerglass Festival - which is quite high end; 4 productions each summer (about 40 performances - 10 of each.) This year, I got to two of them: Lost in the Stars (Kurt Weill) and Aida (Verdi). Both were wonderful, with top opera stars.

    And then I rounded out my weekend with kayaking, sailing and swimming.

    The lazy days of summer....

    Ps so I paid for everything on the MasterCard, expecting no freebies. When I arrive one of the staff says the ceo Andy, has allowed me to attend the conference for free. Just the best birthday present, such a nice surprise.
