Saw my MO today before chemo..long chat with him...went over everything....then he said words I never thought I'd hear being stage IV.... He told me i was in REMISSION!!!!!! I said "are you saying I am in remission?" he replied, " yes, I'm saying you're in remission".... I was speechless, thought I'd fall off the exam table! lol.....he attributes this to the Avastin+Carboplatin...but really to the Avastin...says I am actually on maintenance with it....and he is still visibly upset the FDA pulled it for stage IV bc....and it looks like they may take another look at it...let's all pray the FDA reinstates it .
As happy and grateful I am for this news, it breaks my heart for our other pinks who are Stage IV..and all my pink sisters.....I almost feel guilty... I know this is not rational but I can't help it....I feel such a tremendous bond with you women I have never met face to face....I'd say that getting to " know" all of you has a great blessing in my life over these 3 + years.....I can't thank all of you enough for all you do to lift others up.....I love you all...
Blessings to all of you wonderful "gifts" that came into my life I've needed you the most...I will do my best to lift you up...

whose bone mets are in "remission" I know how you're feeling--so good for you, but guilty because of all the others who continue to suffer. Nancy, I just want to say sweetheart--that you totally deserve this and stories like yours give an enormous amount of hope to those who are still struggling. Everyone needs the positive stories--I think they're the most important to read--at least psychologically.
Let's ride the "remission coaster" together and please--everyone--there are a ton of empty seats just waiting for you all.

I undersand the feeling guilty part because I feel that way about how all my cancers have been. But we should never feel that way. Remission, NED etc.is the news that everyone hopes to hear and we all rejoice when those words are spoken for any one of us. So celebrate and we will celebrate with you. So very happy for you.

Oh Nancy I couldn't be Happier for you!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is certainly cause for a big celebration. You are quite the inspiration on these boards and you have been thru a lot of heck in these last 3+ years.
