Lots going on.....

So just 10 days to my 40th birthday and I was told I have a uterine fibroid, polp, and a "thick" endometrium. I went to see my OB/GYN due to heavy, abnormal bleeding for two weeks. For several months now my abdomen has been EXTREMELY distended-looks like I am 6 months pregnant (it never gets better). I have no appetite. My gyn did a transvaginal ultrasound, but no pelvic, no pap, and no lab work (thought that was really odd). We discussed my options: birth control (nope), IUD (nope), ablation (waste of time). So I have an appointment to be tested at MD Anderson in Houston. I am considered high risk (my g-mother had uterine cancer). I have not told any of my friends or family about my appointment at MD Anderson, nor do I plan too until I HAVE too.

Thoughts? Suggestions?
