Energy Levels
Jerry,
Good Morning, My dad had very low energy on chemo as well. I know it is difficult when you feel so tired but any little bit of exercise can help. When my Dad was going to Physical Therapy it did help with energy levels. Just that little bit of excerise helped him. The other thing is check with Dr. Google and find energy boosting foods. I have read many who have tried more of a natural diet when going through chemo and it helped. My best to you. Hope this helps

Bowling...jgwright said:Thanks
I'll check it all out.
My son, my daughter-in-law, and the grandkids (4 of them) invited me to go bowling last week. I thought about it, and said, hey, why not... I need the exercise, and that's pretty low impact. Well, I broke 100, and felt pretty sore for a couple of days.
They invited me again yesterday, (and this time my wife came). I did lousy, but had a great time, and don't even feel THAT beat up.
So, a combo of light exercise and time with the family. What a deal.
Then, later on, went over and got a friend's computer network up and running properly. He gave me a bottle of Noni Juice. Anybody ever heard of this stuff?

My dad used to drink noni all the time. It's a good juice to help you feel good. Natural and supposed to be good for all kinds of ailments. It is super high in potassium, though. So people with liver or kidney issues may want to talk to their docs first. My dad used the Hawaiian noni. I think there are other kinds, too.

Jerry,
Glad to hear you feel well enough to spend some quality time with the family. We will be thinking about you tomorrow, and hoping that all goes well with your scans and the results are what you are hoping to hear.

I used noni juice years ago..and I do remember it gave me energy. I drink aloe leaf juice and pomegranate. Maybe I'll give the noni juice a try again. Forgot all about it.

Energy Level
I start each day with a glass of V-8 Juice and 1 cup of pretty strong coffee then I take my dog (Jake the Wonder Dog) out for a 2 mile walk. I do this without fail 6 mornings a week. Sometimes it takes a lot of effort to get me up, going and out the door but I find that by the time I get back from the walk I am ready to start my day. Don't know if something like this will work for you but it works for me. Take care and hang in there. Never Ever Give UP.

Yeah, it seems that just getting up, getting out, and DOING SOMETHING is the magic. It is sure a lot easier to sit on the couch and snooze, or read (generally TV is boring...). So just getting in the habit of walking, or whatever, is what I shall be doing.
My hip hurts from hurling the mighty bowling ball, but hey, the pain will go away pretty quickly.

for me .. freshly pressed vegetable juice ... especially wheatgrass juice usually mixed with carrot or celery. Unbelievable energy boost. Sweeten with juice of an apple if needed. Need agood juicer, and use only organic vegetables.0 -

Hi Jerry,
A good side effect to being active and especially walking is if you have any digestive or bowel issues, it seems walking helps a lot particularly with the bowels. My surgeon told me that, he said they don't really know why but it helps a lot. I can testify to that. Hope things get better for you. Keep on keeping on and Never Ever Give Up.
