First PET after treatment

I had my first PET scan after treatment yesterday, and got the results today. There are a few "hot spots" where I had radiation, but no sign of cancer. My doctor called it "a clean scan."

Thanks again to everyone here. This would have been SO MUCH harder without you guys! I know it's the first scan of many but it's a great first step! :-)

    It is soooooooo wonderful to read about so many clean PET scans lately! Congratulations Laralyn and I wish you many more (all of them) clean scans in the future! Enjoy the LIFE!

    I'm new around here, daughter of a father who is just in the middle of this "cancerous" road and is so inspirational to hear that this treatment really works in the end!

    Excellent news..., glad your MD assured you that the hot spots are common on first scans, usually related to residual.

    Amazing news!
    That is amazing news, you are an inspiration to all of us who will be having our first scans soon. Mine is in about 4 weeks and I'm hoping I get the same happy results you got. NED forever!!!
