On a Happy note....

Introducing my new grandson (Declan joseph) born on August 14th at 9:53am .. 6lb 7oz & 18/4 inches long.. it was love at first sight!!!!! I am down in Philly with my daugher and son-in-law and new grandson as I type.. I dont want to leave but I have to.. 4 hour drive back to my home. I have my first cat scan on Wednesday the 22nd.. almost forgot about it.. lol.. P.S. thats me holding Declan (good ole irish name) in my profile pic.. my son-in-law is irish.

    Well youve caught up to me with 1 grandson. Now you can have four(4) granddaughters to catch up with me on granddaughters.

    What are the 3 things that grandsons learn in the womb?

    Good luck too on your scan. If my memory serves me correctly, the 22nd is Fox's next visit too. Expecting great news twofer style.

    One of the distinctive features of our threads here is the good news we hear and the nice events we learn of - it all helps to keep the spirits up doesn't it? That said, I couldn't see Kathy's dawg and now I can't see much of Declan in your picture, Judy. Do you have another shot of the young fella you could maybe upload into your personal pages? (But don't replace your existing photo - pictures like yours and Alice's always raise my spirits.)

    Grandkids are wonderful
    Congrats to another grandma!! My daughter-in-law was the only person nearby who could get to the Dr's office when I got the news of my cancer. She was 7 mo. pregnant at the time. My vow, desire, hope and dream in 2006 was "I want to be at your wedding." to the new baby born 8-18-06. The "baby" will be 6 this Saturday; and she and her sister are a wondeful handful.
    Both of us Grandmas are former PE teachers-but with a different slant on life. I'm the crazy, uninhibited one. We make messes, play dress up, sew costumes, eat ice cream for breakfast (it is dairy, after all), and jump on the bed.
    So here's to having more crazy grandmas in this world. Enjoy Declan for many years and treasure your time together.

    figured it out.. Posted two pics in expressions on my page.. the first was just a practice. (funny cartoon for grins) the second is my new grandson!!

    Now that's more like it Judy. Two great additions to the picture gallery and a lovely new addition to the family!! Well done - we still get to keep the super shot of you and getting soppy over your grandson hasn't got in the way of your sense of humour either!

    Thanks Fox.. I seem to have a permanent smile.. lol.. I even almost forgot about my first scan this coming Wednesday.. Grand kids are great!! Now I only wish mine didnt live so far away (bout a 4 hour drive) P.S. now that I learned how to post pics in expressions, I uploaded just a couple more :-)
