I am going in for same day surgery tomorrow to have my I P port removed. YAY....I can't wait to get the port removed..... Gotta be there at 11 and surgery is at 1.

    So happy that you are in a position to get your port removed. Let us know how it goes. I'm sure the process will go smoothly for you. Although I am NED too, I still have my CV(central venous) port which was put in below my right collarbone. I'm probably going to have mine removed soon too.

    Kelly I have one of those
    Kelly I have one of those too. My doc said I could have that removed too but I told her I would hang onto till spring... Praying I will not need it for chemo but it is handy for blood draws and scans.... There is no use anymore for the IP port so she is taking it out....

    You're right, Glad to be Done,
    about the CV port being handy for blood draws and scans. Come this October, I will be two years NED (knock on wood). I think part of the reason why I haven't had it removed is because I had this fear that the minute I had it removed, my cancer would come back. The port was kind of like my good luck charm. I'm starting to feel differently and have less fear.
