HORRIBLE DAY!!

in Ovarian Cancer #1
Round 1 of Cistplatin/Taxol on Tuesday. Nausea seems to be under control finally. Now I'm sick with some type of infection. They called me in an antibiotic today. Just took my temp. it was 101.4. I think it's some kind of sinus infection. Nose is runny, spitting out some yucky looking stuff. I have no idea how many hours I have slept today. Appetite is certainly improving.

Just needed to vent. College age daughter is coming to stay with me next week, so that should help. (emotionally at least :) Guess I just have to be patient with these antibiotics.

    Better day
    Hope your day is much better in am when the antibiotics Koch in. Drink a lot of fluids. Cisplatin is a very tough chemo but will bring your numbers down..hang in there...Val

    Dear Carla
    I know it feels like nothing is going right but things will get better, especially once the antibiotics start doing their job. So glad that the nausea is under control and that you have your daughter coming soon.

    Praying that you continue to feel better.

    Hope those antibiotics work very quickly. Hang in there, girl. Please make sure to tell your ONC how yucky you felt after your first infusion. Sometimes they have to adjust the dosage. I'm glad your daughter will be with you... soak up some big hugs, you deserve them.
