    I am TNBC
I am triple neg and I had no lymphnode involvement and my treatment was Chemo first because of the size of my tumor. My chemo was 6 rounds of TAC (taxotere, adriamycin and cyclophosphamide) every 3 weeks. I chose a bi lateral mastectomy. At time of surgery, the chemo had taken care of most of the cancer, surgery took out the rest. I am hoping and praying for cancer free for the rest of my life :) treatment is different for everyone, based on tumor, grade, stage etc of cancer. This is MY story. I am sure others will have different treatment stories.
    Good luck to you.

    I was diagnosed triple
I was diagnosed triple negative the first of this year. Chemo was first for me: 4 treatments of Adriamycin and Cytoxan every 2 weeks, then Taxol every week for 12 weeks. The tumor had disappeared at this point. (The surgeon put a clip in before I started chemo, so the center of the tumor would be marked. Generally, triple negative is very responsive to chemo.) I had a lumpectomy the end of June, thankfully with clear margins and 3 lymph nodes removed and clear. Now, I'm about halfway through 30 radiation treatments and also getting some lymphedema education and training (don't have any now and MO wants it to stay that way.)

Good luck with your treatment and ask if you have any questions. Lots of good advice from the people here.

    Me too!
In June 2011, I was diagnosed with invasive ductal BC that was triple negative. I was Stage 1, grade 3. I had a lumpectomy and 2 sentinel nodes removed that were clear. I had another surgery to further extend my clear margins. I had 4 chemo treatments with adriamycin/cytoxan at 3 week intervals. 12 sessions of Taxol followed given weekly. I then had 33 sessions of radiation. I am now in "cancer recovery" and getting stronger everyday. It's great to be on this side of the disease. I don't want to go through another year like that again and I'm working hard to make sure I won't.

I wish you the best. This is a great place to get others knowlegde and support.

    Triple, too...
I was first diagnosed in April,2009.....IDC....triple negative...found the lump myself less than 3 months after a clean mammogram and ultrasound.....Had a lumpectomy, stage 2, no lymph node involvement, clean clear margins... Had chemo and 33 radiation treatments...was in remission for 19 months..came back in my lymph nodes ...more rads, etc..won't go into all the details because the last thing I want to do is scare you...but I am doing well now....not in remission but doing well....

Glad you found us, but not the reason...please keep us posted

February 2009, I found my lump myself. I had two surgerys to get clear margins, followed by Chemo and Rads. I will have four years in February under my belt. Keep your chin up and know that you have alot of pink sisters that will be by your side during your journey. Lots of Hugs Karie
