has anyone had SIR-Spheres microspheres
Hi Maxine,
I've had the procedure and can also put you in touch with others who have had it. If you have specific questions, please feel free to ask. I had excellent results and very few side effects from mine. You can find out a great deal at beatlivertumors.org.
Good luck,

SIR-Spheres
My Mom had SIR-Spheres at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington DC, her Doctor there was Dr. Justin Lee, he is an Interventional Radiologist. The procedure went very well, she was able to go with out chemo about six months, though she did have a round this past winter and her cancer is stable at this point. She was 80 when diagnosed and is now 83.
My Mom was able to have surgery for her Cholangiocarcinoma and then had a round of Chemo, the SIR-Spheres and then another round of Chemo, right now she is stable has a good quality of life and is not having Chemo
All of her treatment was at Georgetown University's Lombardy Cancer Center.
