I lost mine twice
I lost mine twice so I understandhow you are feeling as you will know exactly how long it will take for it to grow back again. If I'm honest I was more upset the second time. Sending hugs, Tina0 -

I still cry about my hair
I still cry about my hair loss...I've been in treatment since the beginning of April. It does hurt. Cutting it short helps. I also started putting a scarf on tight and that helped. I also put Frankincense essential oil on my head when it burned. I think it helped too. Hang in there. Kim1 -

Got my new wig yesterday. I forgot how itchy they are at first and how tender my head gets...This just really sucks. This is the 3rd time i watched my hair slowly grow and then fall out again. This time it had grown all the way to my shoulders. Not to mention I worked 2 jobs so I could afford hair extensions. I hate chemo.1 -

It sure sucks that you've had to lose your hair three times and put in the extra work and time to pay for your hair extensions. You've had to endure so much at such a young age. Sometime soon in the future though after this chemo ends, I'm looking forward to you telling us that your hair is growing back and that you can wear your hair extensions again.
Sending you lots of prayers and hugs,

the support from the women on this board has helped me so much. I just wish I had found this bored 3 years ago. I actually found another board where about 10 women had the rare type of cancer I have. I have been searching for years and never met anybody who had even heard of it. All the post were about 2 years old and all the women kept talking about how they couldnt get rid of it and how it was spreading like crazy. One girl said it came back within 2 months of a brutal treatment. I tried to contact everyone of them to see if they found a cure but every single one of their accounts were inactive. That was disconcerning but Im hoping that maybe they just all found cures and quit posting. There was another post from a girl who is newly diagnosed and is recieving carbo/taxol which is what my first line treatment was and i had a recurence within 6 months and she was asking me all these questions and it hurt so bad having to tell her everything. I just hope she has better luck than me and the rest of the women. And I hope my story didnt make her lose hope but I just couldnt lie to her.0 -

I have lost mine three times now...and the Dr. Said I have to have another six months of chemo. I found on Facebook a site called Chemo Beanies. They are very stylish and have ruffles and come in colors or patterns. I bought one at a drugstore....felt more femanine. I have two wigs but try not to wear too much. Check out this site or google it ...Val0 -
yes i have ovarian cancerGlad to be done said:Felicia I have only been

yes i have ovarian cancer but its an exreamely rare type called sertoli-leydig stromal cord(sexcord) ovarian cancer. Its apparently the most rare known form of ovarian cancer. Most ovarian cancer is in the epithial tissue or the germ cell but mine is in the connective tissue where the hormones are produced. It makes up less than 1% of ovarian cancer cases and what little bit of info the doctors know about it they do know that it tends to be resistant to treatment and thats why it keeps coming back.0
