So those of you that have been around for a while might remember my crazy request to pray for pancreatitis. I am asking again, just as I did in May 2010 (that time I did have it). It is a slight chance. I'd much rather deal with that than cancer progression. I'm not really that crazy! ;) Updates on my CaringBridge tonight.

    I have had pancreatitus...
    I have had pancreatitus... not sure I could ever pray for it but I know what you mean. Here's to pancreatitus! I will pray for you. :)

    Dear Kathryn,

    While you've been off treatment for a while now, I hope that you can still continue to have a break, and that this is pancreatitis. When my mom was having symptoms, I'd research and research and found that if I looked hard enough, it could either be signs of progression, inflammation, or just side effects and nothing at all.

    Waiting is tough, but I'm glad you're getting the scan soon, so the next steps can be determined no matter what it is. I really hope it is pancreatitis, and if it isn't, it sounds like you and your doctor will have a plan. You're a great advocate, not just for yourself, but the entire c community.
