regarding renal vein/artery

I posted this a while on another thread as I need some help for someone though i'm not the patient.
Few basic details of the person with RCC : stage 1, tumor size 4.8, clear cell, grade 2, location: mid-pole
I need a few more info regarding the CT scan details which are as follows:
What do you mean by:
"The main renal artery supplies the mass lesion and main renal vein
drains the mass lesion. There is no tumor infiltration in the renal vein."
and
"The cut margin of renal vein, artery and ureter appear free grossly."
and also
"The tumor is seen abutting renal sinus grossly but not invading it."
I would be very grateful if someone could explain me the meaning of these statements. Is there anything which we should worry about? Looking for some encouragement to overcome fear of recurrence.
Best regards and wish great health for everyone here! Also, sorry for my poor English grammar.

Explanation
Your English is no worse than that of the writer of the pathology report!
The information sounds like very good news. Because the tumour is in the mid-pole location, there would be concern that the renal artery and renal vein, which enter and exit in that location, could be affected. It seems they are not, which is why the lesion is described as Stage 1 - the best possible stage.
You (or the patient) should feel able to ask the doctors to explain the details in a way that you can understand - they have a duty to do so.
However, from the information you have been given, it sounds as if there is very little risk of a recurrence, so I would say don't worry!0 -
I'm going to do my best here for you. Let's do some cutting and pasting.
"The main renal artery supplies the mass lesion and main renal vein
drains the mass lesion. There is no tumor infiltration in the renal vein."
This is simply the Radiologist folling the bloodflow in and out of the mass. Without contrast this would not be seen. This for him makes it definitive that it is a mass because it is vascular. Image to image he's watching the blood flow in and out of the tumor. No infiltration means the tumor has not spread to the renal vain. This is good.
"The cut margin of renal vein, artery and ureter appear free grossly."
Meaning is that the above are free of tumor. Also good.
"The tumor is seen abutting renal sinus grossly but not invading it."
This too is a good thing. It means that the size and position of the tumor is pushing on the kidney a bit showing the collecting system on images of the kidney might look a little scrunched if that's a word. But the fact that it's not invading the renal sinus also gets a smiley face.
Know that I'm not a doctor so whatever I say here is to help. My words are not absolute, but I've been scanning for 30 years and have read thousands of reports. All the best to your friend
