Finally! long six days but hearing, No evidence of cancer! was worth the wait! I cried! Crazy, huh! He said my lymph nodes looked much better and several had even gotten smaller. However, he felt under my arms, something he hasnt done before...ok, just going to enjoy the moment and not think too hard! next scan in six months! yeah! normal blood work and port flush every three months. Since I had a polyp in April, I'll have to have another colonoscopy next year and will continue as long as they find polyps -

I hope to be able to breathe and forget for the next six months!

    Port Flush
    My port needs flushed once a month, are you sure yours doesn't as well? A double check on that wouldn't hurt.
    Congratulations on the every three months. I went on that schedule last month, so I know how great that feels!!! Congrats again.

    Hey Lucky

    Ports need to be maintained and need to be flushed every 4-6 wks...8-wks tops...clotting can occur if it not kept in running order.

    I am very lucky! Got my CEA count today, 0.9! I will definitely check on the flushing of the port..don't need any clots! Can't believe how much better I feel today! I have no words for what you all on this board mean to me - you have helped keep me sane!
