my daughters fathers died of this kind of leukemia he was first told he had a flu and then thought he was having a heart attack and was taken to the hospital where he was taken to tisch hosp in manhattan 5 weeks later he died ho come all these other people live so much longer i dont understand they said they got rid of the leukemia but he died of a bad infection could this be truei never understood that xoxokittie

When you have leukemia you become anemic. No blood and no platelets to fight off infection. So without blood the infection can kill you. I am so sorry. I hope you come to terms with this loss and recover quickly. Best wishes.
