blocked ears - NPC
Hi CherriBlossom,
I've finished my chemo+radiation treatment on Dec, 2011. One month after treatment finished, my left ear blocked since then I've less hearing from the left ear. Sometime right ear is blocked too but it's not too bad as left one. I am hoping to fix itself within 1 year mark. Anyway, it's my new normal life after C.
Cheers,

This is a normal reaction. I completed 6 weeks of chemo-radiation in October 2011, and had intermittent hearing loss for months. One of my ENT's said it's a normal reaction from swelling in your Eustachian tube, likely casued by the radiation. Your ENT can give you steroids, or install tubes (like for children) to help with drainage, or you can just let it go and it will subside within a few months.
Keep the faith.
