Odd
An Update: Because of you contributors, I will be able to get to see a MSK Pelvic PT. I now have an MSK Gyn. What a relief. I will see one that understands and has treated women who underwent pelvic radiation.
Between now and September quite a few doctor appointments - it's even time for a mammogram. But hopefully after that this 62 year old will be able to take a breather. The CT scan and mammograms are scheduled for August 10. I feel very lucky to have these tests scheduled at MSK. Besides this, I have to schedule another colonoscopy and even need new glasses! Talk about top to bottom! lol.
Thank everyone here and ACS. I don't know what I would have done without this site to go to for information and support. I know many of you have already walked this path and that helps tremendously as I face the unknown and maybe a little too much information once again.
All the best,
Sandy

I'm your girl!
Sandy,
I am your girl if you have any questions about that Pelvic PT appointment. What to expect etc, I believe if you can relieve your fear you will be free to move on. I will also be anxious to hear about your "treatments" etc and see how they compare to mine. Please do not hesitate to contact me here or privately if I can be of any help or support.
Love ya,

I will share. This was something my Oncologist was very happy I asked about. I would not have known what to ask about if it weren't for you. These issues are very specific. She treats all kinds of cancer patients, not just us pelvic radiated ones. Anyway, she was terrific and immediately knew what to recommend for me. I am so glad I didn't just try to go to anyone.
We should try to share as much information as we can. We can help each other talk about this openly.
Thanks again for your contribution to my new hope for sexual health.
All the best,

Sandy,
I can honestly say that I shed a tear for you! I am so over the moon excited that you took charge and made a move. I shared with my PT Dr today that you were seeking help and she did a little happy dance. She has really taken this on as a personal mission to try and educate and research this whole thing.
Anything you want to know...just ask and I will share as much info as you want.

Please tell me what is a MSK
Please tell me what is a MSK pelvic PT? I am experiencing blood clots not from my anus but rather from my uretha. I am 2yr 5 months post anal treatment with 2 lymph nodes invovled. As of today this bleeding and pooping my pants on a regular basis are my most annoying symptoms. I am concerned for a urologist to put a camera up my uretha. Perhaps it will cause more damage to the already obviously bloodied area. Any suggestions? I am soo worried.0 -

A pelvic pt is a pelvic physical therapist. She deals with your pelvic floor muscles and everything in the pelvic region. Mine is helping me with my vaginal stenosis and now my anal stenosis with the use of dilators. I can not say enough about her ability to help. They work with incontinence as well. I am finding out that incontinence and urgency are two different issues. My issue is huge urgency which we will address once the stenosis has been dealt with. They also help patients with pelvic organ prolapse, so perhaps you can get a referral to a pelvic PT. If you need any further info, just let me know. I imagine your ob/gyn or urologist can give you a referral.

Hi Sandy - sending prayers and well wishes for your upcoming scans and tests...I so agree, sharing information among each other like this helps with any possible issues or conversations with our doctors in the future. Take care! Marilyne0 -
Thinking of you. today!
Hey! I wanted you to know that I am thinking of you. I was to have my first abdomen and pelvic CT scan today, too, but I was called at 5pm yesterday and told the machine was broken. So, I am now scheduled Monday morning.
Best of luck with all of your appointments. I, too, have many in the next two weeks as my new deductible starts September 1st.
