Problem With Website Or Just my Antiquated Computer??
Need some help from you computer gurus (John, Phil, or anybody who has an idea). I can't access CSN by directly going to it. I get a page simply stating FALSE SETT. If I Google Cancer Survivors Network and go directly to Login, I get a Login page that says Drupal at the top with the ACS logo, space to login, etc., but in a higlighted red block it says "The directory files/images is not writable". I can access our forum, but everyone's avatar is gone. I just see your names. I haven't checked with Greta yet on this, but was wondering if anyone has experienced it.
As far as I can tell, Drupal is a program used to write different types of websites, including social networking ones?
This happens in Internet Explorer and Firefox.
Luv,
Wolfen

Hey Wolfen
It's the website. I was getting the same thing today and the profile photos aren't showing. Also, it took me three tries to post about my CEA. Good thing I always copy long posts before hitting the submit button.
How's the heat down there, are the streets melting yet?
Hugs,

Big Probs with site
It isn't you it is the website.
I have sent in 2 trouble reports today for different issues...which includes part of what you have experienced.
I am getting ready to send a third with a new issue that came up when I logged in this time....some SQL failures which made the pages almost unreadable.
Almost seems like someone was trying to put in new updates to the page and screwed it up. Having worked in the computer programming industry for 20+ years...I can kinda guess...lol.

Everything on here is appearing in weird colors, etc. Almost afraid to logout. May never see you guys again LOL
It's only 104 right now at 7 PM, but really humid to us desert rats, so feels about like 120. We actually get that temp., but rarely. Am waiting for forecasted ? thunderstorms? ? Will probably be about 10 drops, if any. I'm not holding my breath. Really feel bad for those back East in the heat. Their humidity, of course, is much worse.
Hope Ogden is much cooler for you.

We hit 100 here today, first time I've seen it that hot in about 6 years, since I lived in Mesa.0 -

Hi. I had problems too. This site has had problems in thhe past couple of weeks.
Everything OK now. For a while, I thought we were being controlled by "Hal"(for those of you that remember the old movie). You know the computers will rule us one day, don't you?

Hmmm....
Have you tried typing in: http://csn.cancer.org/, then logging in and
saving the site again as a "favorite"?
The DNS / IP address is the problem. It may be related to that malware
hack that was going to keep everyone off the Internet! Remember the
news media warning us about a "doomsday" scenario?
Let me know if typing the URL (or using that link) fixes it for you.
Best of health,

Drupal
The site seems OK now but I saw issues earlier. Drupal is what they call a Content Management System which is sort of like a database. All our info and posts are stored as data in a database. Exciting!!
It does seem like we overload the system at times. I'm sure we've all seen that blue Drupal avatar at one time or another.0 -

I was gonna ask this yesterday...there was something odd at the top of the page and it didn't want to load. And the people profile pics didn't show up. But, it's fine today. I just find this site very slow to log on to, I often give up.0 -
