Info Regarding Friend Brooks - Update 7/28/12

Just read on FB that our friend Brooks has been admitted to hospital.

He was in terrible pain this morning.

Apparently they are going to do exploritory surgery, do a colostomy (which he has been considering doing because of bowel issues) and will do what they can to control his pain.

Please offer up prayers, good vibs and all good things for his speedy recovery.

Update 7/28/12

Brooks just posted on FB: OKAY... I need some help here wuth the proplems that I've been having sence being hospital. Looks like today they need to put in a PICC line so they can tube feed me. All of my counts are way off and the wieght is falling off relly fast.


Please say a prayer for his recovery.

Brooks has not been on here much but has had a rough time since his reversal. Hopefully the surgery will finally bring him some bathroom relief. I sure hope thats all that is wrong.

Wow--thanks for letting us know! He was scheduled to have a colostomy in August, right? Hope this doesn't set him back, and hopefully, even move up that date so he can get some relief.

He seems to be doing well
He had his surgery, did well and is home. Last I saw he said he was feeling more like his old self. So all seems to be good.

Ostomy
What type of surgery? Did he end up getting the ostomy back. Glad that he is home and feeling better.

Brooks posted this on FB just a little while ago:

I’d thought check in and give everyone another update on what’s going on. I started feeling really bad again last Sunday morning and by the late afternoon my wife was taking me to the ER again. It sure is hard to argue during moments like that because at that point they can kick your but so you just need to sit back and enjoy the ride. Hope to be home maybe tomorrow?

So I guess spoke too soon about him feeling better. He originally went to hospital because of severe pain. I didn't see a post of what they found that caused that, but do believe that his surgery was to get the ostomy back.

Hoping that he soon is back on the road to full recovery.
