Slippery Elm for mucus

Buzz has been battling a cough and excessive mucus since his cancer returned. At the suggestion of a PA, he is taking Slippery Elm and it is helping the thin the mucus!!! It comes in a capsule form and a lozenge. I guess there is a tea also. I have been opening the capsules and mixing them with water. I then put this mixture in the feeding tube. Slippery Elm can be purchased at a health food store. Karen

Karen...i will suggest that to my husband. Since the c has moved to his lungs, he obviously is dealing with these symptoms too. Robitusum was what was recommended for him :(
