Help with lingo

Hello All,
Pretty new to this site and was wondering if anyone out there can help with some of the lingo. I keep seeing all of the abbreviations and don't know what most of them mean. I just want to better understand all of the posts and advice.

    Using the search box type in “Superthread”. The superthread is all about head and neck cancer. When you get inside of the superthread scroll down to the bottom of the thread and you will find definitions and abbreviations.

    SCC - Squamous Cell Carcinoma
    Dx - Diagnosis
    Rx - Prescription
    Tx - Therapy? Treatment?
    BOT - Base of tongue
    PEG - Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy aka feeding tube
    HPV - Human papillomavirus
    rad - radiation
    ENT - Ear, nose, throat Doctor aka Otolaryngologist
    Glossectomy - Removal of tongue
    Met - Spreading of the cancer
    XRT - Conventional external beam radiation therapy aka EBT
    IMRT - Intensity modulated radiation therapy
