good news... gotta share
its been awhile since i've been online here, as we've been busy getting back to work (after six months of treatments)
I've finished my 24th session of FolFox & Erbitux.
It's working!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my CEA level was 65 back in November 2011 and now is 2.0!!!
I started with a large tumor in the transverse colon, next to the liver.
I had 30 spots on my liver, all fairly sizable. and 100 "micro" spots on my liver...
the 100 microspots are gone!
the 30 large spots, are now down to 4.
the main tumor in the colon is "dead"
the cancer is showing signs of much reduction.
I received my last of 24 treatments prior to the re-conneciton surgery of my colon and to remove The Bag.
this all will happen within 3 weeks.
there are so many new people joining here all the time, and I just had to share some good news.
If you have good news going on with your battle... no matter how big or small... please share your good news!!!
hugs
Joe

Great news! I've been through 9 full treatments of folfiri and vectibix and it's kinda kickin my butt. But your story is inspiring -- I'll keep fighting the good fight and find comfort in the FACT that good outcomes are possible. Thanks for sharing. Dan
