    Hi Dan,

Thanks for the Happy 4th of July and back at you. Good luck on the steak, make sure it is rare and juicy. I actually tried a Taco Bell taco tonight and it wasn’t terrible (there is hope).

Unless my neighbors light off some fireworks we don’t see much here in Oregon. If you didn’t know Oregon is one of the top Nanny States (lucky us) and virtually all fun stuff is illegal.

    Sparkler fun,

    Matt

Our cat hates the noise too.

Merry 4th to you too, Dan :)
My family celebrated last night, since family came from out of town, so wanted to do it on the weekend. We have a place on Flathead Lake, so that's where we do the big fireworks show. I attended the get-together in the afternoon, but skipped the fireworks, so I can be home with my dog and horses during the worst part of the fireworks around our place....everybody gets scared to death...horses run, and dog is looking for a place to hide.

This is Montana where everything goes...and boy do they do it up big around here...every yard, every field has revelers with big bangs...

    Doggie downers!
We have to give dog medicine, does not do well, tries to dig out of cement and get through slider door. We will bbq at home and do unsafe and insane out in front with the neighbors. I will have my ear plugs in of course, I hope they work for those loud ones!

Last year I tried a Calming Collar for the dog....
and found he went from pacing, whining, and rolling eyes...to laying and whining...so I got him one for this year, too...plus there are doggie treats called "Composure", that has doggie downers in them...this year he can actually lay down and chew a bone...altho he has to do it very close to me...I've slept on the couch for the last two nights so he can snuggle up against it, and I can keep a hand on him.
