Has anyone had a recurrence tht did NOT begin in the abdominal area?

AS I posted the other day, it appears as though I have a recurrence (after 9 months of remission). However, abdominal area is clean on both CT and petscans. CA-125 a few weeks ago was 12.8. My doctor (medical oncologist) does not think the node in my neck is ovarian for these reasons. He said it would be so rare for it to be ovarian to not begin in the abdominal area.

I was just wondering if anyone had experienced this? He did another CA-125 Thursday. Results will probably be back Monday or Tuesday.

Thanks,

Carla

    Dear Carla
I've been fortunate to not have a reoccurrence, so I can't help you there. But sending you lots of good thoughts and prayers that you haven't had reoccurence either.

    Thanks Kelly,

The needle biopsy on the place near my thyroid is suspicious of whatever the medical term for cancer is. a? carcemonia? My dr. just doesn't think it's related to the ovarian, but isn't quite sure. That's why I'm going to have some tests done. YUCK!

The tests and the waiting can be so difficult. I'm hoping and praying for the best possible outcome for you. Please let us know of course what the outcome is.

    Hugs,
    Kelly
